It’s time for another fashion roundup of a few outfits I have worn over the past few weeks that have kept true to my frugal fashionista mantra. I love finding outfit inspiration on blogs, Pinterest and in magazines, but more often than not, the pieces are out of my price range. What I try to do is add my own take to outfits I see and love:
I was inspired by this look from one of my favorite bloggers, Bows and Sequins. I fell in love with this H&M blazer the moment I saw it, and have been eyeing it on the website (since you can now shop online!) for a few weeks. I was so excited when I saw it was on sale, so I had to get it:
I loved this look from another Southern blogger I follow, Pearls and Twirls. As you can probably tell, I’m a huge fan of the army details this season:
I love the idea of a tough + sweet mashup in an outfit. While this army green top is silky, it’s a color that is typically masculine. I loved pairing it with my white lace skirt:
I love Old Navy’s petite dress selection. The majority of their dresses are also offered in petite, which is crucial for me at 5’1″, especially when it comes to maxi dresses. I’ve started buying most of my dresses from them in a petite, even shorter versions because the fit is generally better. (They also offer a lot of their dresses in tall.)
When I found this skirt at Gabes, I immediately loved it, but wasn’t sure how I would style it, so I decided to leave it at the store. After looking around online at pictures of white maxis styled for summer AND fall, I decided at $12, I had to have it.
I love this look from one of my favorite bloggers Suburban Faux Pas:
Ok guys. I have to admit it, I have an addiction to harem pants. I have them in black, navy and a printed pair too. I’m convinced they are the fashionista version of sweat pants. Comfy as hell but also chic enough to make you look put together. The inspiration photo is Emily of Cupcakes and Cashmere.
